29 April

Have searched the CHI proceedings for the last seven years for papers related to task-oriented modeling or automatic event capturing. I have pulled a few papers out of there and have queued them to be read.

28 April

Read a couple of CAP papers. I have also updated my papers read page to have bibtex references with summaries included. Brain fried for now... going home

Had a quick meeting with Alex and Stuart. Due to a lack of work this week (due to lots of tutoring) Alex was not pleased... (and rightfuly so). I will be reading papers this weekend to catch up, and should be having a meeting with Alex and Stuart on Monday to report my progress.

20 April

Had a meeting with Alex. My goals for 26/04/07 are:
  1. Look at the evaluation sessions from the last 6-7 CHI converences
    1. Sessions and conference proceedings which are to do with evaluation.
    2. Look at the sessions for design.
  2. Look at GOMS - way of evaluating the usefulness, performance of tasks.
Stuart emailed me the location of the CannonSketch OSX tool.

Finally finished marking and begun some research for 489. I had a quick look for the OSX tool from foruse.com but cannot find it. I also took out the comp311 textbook from Constantine and Lockwood from the library. It appears to have very little specifics on Canonical Abstract Prototypes.

I did a search for XML schemas for Canonical Abstract Prototypes, but did not find anything specific. I did find a website that which seemed to define cross platform XML UI schemas - UsiXML.

I also did a search on Google scholar and found a few papers. One of interest is jRapture, a "Capture / Replay tool for observation-based testing".
