Project: User Interfaces for Real-Time Strategy Games

Abstract:

Computer games form part of our digital culture and, like other parts of our culture, are worthy of being preserved so that future generations can better access them and better understand their own historical roots. Preserving our digital culture and providing access to the wider community in an interactive manner creates some interesting challenges and opportunities. In this project, you will capture the requirements for a software system that would support preservation of - and access to - computer games, design the user interface for such a software system, and evaluate the interface using standard HCI techniques.
