My name is Alex Potanin. My PhD thesis was supervised by James Noble, Dave Clarke, and Robert Biddle. In my thesis I described a way of having ownership types in a programming language with generics: Generic Ownership. My hobbies at some stage included Wellington Seido Karate Club and Wellington Gliding Club.
